East Japan Earthquake - Disaster Area Support Project Activity Report

(Update: Friday, April 11 2014)

We offer our deepest condolences to everyone who suffered as a consequence of the Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami of March 11, 2011.

Located in Sendai City, Miyagi prefecture, PSOFT MOBILE was also hit by the earthquake. Some of our equipment was damaged and we experienced the lasting difficulties caused by the disruption of the infrastructure supporting our daily lives. Amongst all of this, we became aware that many of you were using our Zen Brush universal app to create and publish artwork supporting the victims of the earthquake. This cheered us up immensely.

Being at the heart of the affected area, we also wanted to contribute to the recovery efforts. This is how we came up with a plan to collect everyone’s support art pieces for charity. The result of this plan is"Zen Brush Art Book", an art collection app. In addition to acting as a way to deliver support messages to a large number of people, all proceeds from this project were donated to assist the reconstruction efforts in the affected area.

This project ended on March 10, 2014. We take this opportunity to extend our most heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported the project. Since March 11th, "Zen Brush Art Book" continues to be distributed as a free app, so do not hesitate to have a look at it!
